How to Host TV Nights in Your Home

Nothing brings people together like TV. It’s not hard to find people around you who watch the same shows as you, and it’s a great way to bring people together. Nothing is better than sharing your love and excitement for a television show with people who feel the same way. TV is a great way to get your neighborhood together on any day of the week to munch on some snacks and watch their favorite tv shows. The following is advice for hosting your very own TV nights in your home or community center.

Find the Right TV Shows

Decide on what kind of TV night you want to have and pick the shows appropriately. If you want it to be like a Mom’s Night Out, then it’s a great idea to pick shows that are a little more dramatic, like Desperate Housewives or Grey’s Anatomy. If you want to host a teenage TV night for your son or daughter’s friends, check ABC family for some great shows that don’t run late into the evening. You can also do sports for the man in y our life. Be sure to check your local television orĀ dish network channels guide for the times and dates of the nights you plan to host.

Invite Your Guests A Week Before

Be sure to send out your invites about a week before. Facebook Invites are a great way to inform your friends and family of the date and time.

Provide Lots of Yummy Snacks and Drinks

It might be fun to do a theme based around the TV show you’re watching that night. The internet is full of great snack and drink ideas, if you’re short on creativity. Also, don’t be afraid to just take the simple route and run to the store and purchase chips, salsa, cookies, and soda. Your guest will be happy with whatever you have to offer! Have FUN!

Enjoy the company. Once the show is over, have everyone stay for a couple minutes afterwards to talk about it. This a great way to get to know your neighbors and others in your community. TV Night is a blast!
